Politecnico di Milano is growing: campus and laboratories designed by Renzo Piano
55 millions of euros to create 20.000 m2 of green spaces and new engineering laboratories dedicated to chemisty and the development of new materials.
10 MILLIONS EUROS TO GO.
Today Politecnico di Milano is recognized as the first Italian university.
Our campus needs to be enlarged and renewed.
We will do it at Città Studi with two projects: renewal of architectural campus and the realization of new laboratories of chemical and material engineering.
These are projects designed by Renzo Piano, work starting in June 2018, to open new classrooms to students by the end of 2020.
In via Bonardi we will create 4 new buildings for a total of 4200 m2 and a green space of 8950 m2. The new campus will host the laboratories of architectural modeling, digital and design tecnologies as well as study spaces and classrooms.
The second project concerns the area of via Ponzio where the laboratories of chemical engineering and materials will be established. These buildings will cover over 12.000 m2 and will be dedicated to research for the development of new materials, biomedical solution and green chemistry.
Each contribution will serve to add a brick to this important project for Politecnico, for the City of Milan and for Italy.
